Book your FREE school visit this summer term!

Our award-winning Schools Programme has been running since we opened our doors in 2012 and is always evolving and growing.

The strong connections that we’ve drawn between our collection and the National Curriculum mean that our on-site school workshops support teaching in a variety of subject areas, providing hands-on experiences and demonstrating real-world applications of the topics that pupils are studying in school.

“It exceeded expectations. We packed loads of fun things to do in the 2 hour workshop…The children were all engaged as they were learning and having fun.”

Whether it’s creating food packaging inspired by archive designs, trying on fashions from the past to learn about different fabrics, developing new product ideas after exploring M&S innovation or conducting a sensory analysis of the Chocolate Melt in the Middle pudding – we aim to provide unique, fun and meaningful learning experiences… and it’s all free!

“The activities were brilliant and were suitable for our learners, they were constantly engaged and remained focused throughout the full session.”

For school groups that can’t travel to Leeds we have a suite of digital learning tool kits, containing everything a teacher needs to run a workshop in their classroom.

We’re taking bookings for the summer term – places are filling up fast! If you’d like to know more about our Schools Programme, just get in touch, we’ll be happy to help.

“The children enjoyed it all… very accessible, interactive and inclusive. It is an amazing resource, and the workshop was perfect. It is unusual to find such a good trip for free – thank you!”
