We will be closed for the Bank Holiday on Monday 6 May.

Spark discussion and evoke memories

Bring your group to relive iconic looks with our clothing collection, remember favourite flavours with our food packaging and see if you can spot something familiar amongst our homeware and toys.

Your visit can include any or all of the following

  • Time to look around the exhibition at your own pace
  • Free refreshments ready for your group in our Seminar Room
  • Items from our handling collection for you to explore – clothing, packaging, homewares

How to book a visit

All you need to do is get in touch. Let us know when you’d like to come and we’ll get back to you with a booking form and to discuss the details.

How long is a visit?

We suggest you allow two hours, but we can tailor the visit to your group’s requirements.

Accessibility

Our building is fully wheelchair accessible. You can also make use of our large-print exhibition guides. We have a hearing loop and an accessible toilet and our team are all trained Dementia Friends. For more detail on accessibility, see our Plan Your Visit page.

Minibus and Car Parking

Let us know if your minibus needs to park up during your visit. There are two Blue Badge parking spaces outside the Archive, but no other car parking is available on site. For more information about nearby car parking see our Plan Your Visit page.

“The residents laughed a lot … laughter on such a scale is such a tonic. This afternoon was one of the best we have ever had.”
