An impressive 100-mile sponsored relay finished at the Archive

Last week over 360 M&S stores across the UK took on ‘fun-raising’ challenges to see how far they could go for our charity partner YoungMinds.

Colleagues here in the Leeds region completed a relay to every store in the region, covering 100 miles across three days! They walked, cycled and ran (sometimes even being three-legged!). We were delighted to be the finishing point for the relay, welcoming Percy Pig himself over the finish line and hosting the brilliant colleagues who had worked so hard.

M&S is working in partnership with YoungMinds this year, and we aim to raise £5million over the next three years to support young people’s mental health. This will enable YoungMinds to support seven million young people and the adults in their lives through easy to access online resources and a dedicated Parent’s Helpline.

To kick-start the partnership, M&S made a £1 million donation and the generosity of customers and colleagues has raised an additional £700,000 so far. Last month, M&S also announced that 5p from the sale of every loaf in the Farmhouse loaf range would be donated to YoungMinds.
